Upload the archive in Add-ons → Manage add-ons → Upload & install. Blocks appear in Products → Product blocks.

Add-on settings

  • Allow scripts in blocks — off by default: <script> elements, event handler attributes like onclick and javascript: links are removed from HTML on save and import.
  • Delete blocks when uninstalling the add-on — off by default, so blocks and their files survive a reinstall.

A block

A block has five tabs.

  • General — name, status, display zone, priority, top and bottom margins and dates. With no dates the block always shows; both dates are inclusive.
  • HTML — the markup. Refer to block files as assets/file.webp. You can paste a whole HTML document: only the <body> content stays, <style> elements move to CSS.
  • CSS — the styles. Every selector gets the block prefix; paths are relative to the block folder: url(assets/bg.webp).
  • Files — drop or choose files; they upload at once. A subfolder is optional.
  • Display conditions — products, categories (with or without subcategories), all products, excluded products, languages and storefronts. With no languages or storefronts chosen, the block shows on all of them.

The product page in the admin panel gets a “Product blocks” tab: link blocks to the product directly there and see which blocks apply to it and why.

Files

Allowed: jpg, png, gif, webp, avif, svg, ico, mp4, webm, woff, woff2, ttf and otf, up to 20 MB each. The content is checked against the type. Spaces and non-Latin characters in names become “-”.

ZIP import and export

An archive to import:

Everything may sit inside one folder. Files outside assets/ are skipped. The limit is 1000 files and 200 MB.

Export adds block.json with the block settings. A new block imported from such an archive takes its settings from it. “Replace from ZIP” on an existing block changes only the HTML, CSS and files and keeps the settings and conditions.

Video

An <iframe> stays in a block only when it points to YouTube, Rutube, VK Video, Vimeo or Dzen. Others are removed on save.
