Close the shop while you work
A storefront has a “Closed for visitors” switch. Guests see a placeholder with your text (one per language) and a 503 answer, so search engines know it’s temporary and keep the pages indexed. Staff see the shop as usual, with a strip at the top. To show the shop to a client, give them the preview link; “Make a new link” turns the old one off.
The admin, its sign-in, payment providers’ callbacks, 1C exchange and the API keep working.
Part of a page fails
The header, the footer, the places on a product card and every block are drawn on their own. If one of them fails because of a mistake in a template or a snippet, only it disappears and the rest of the page is printed. Staff see a red notice in its place with the reason and a link to the edit, and the error goes to the log.
Safe mode
System → Safe mode switches your own session to the standard theme without your own CSS and snippets, so you can tell whether a theme edit is to blame. TORGASH_SAFE_MODE=true in .env turns it on for every visitor at once.
Put it back
In the audit log, an edit to a product, category, page, article, banner, menu, block or setting has a “Put it back” button. A field goes back if the log keeps its whole value and nobody changed it since. Creating and deleting records can’t be undone this way.
